The second par 3 on the course is a touch easier than Hole 3, but it still demands precision and control.
With a mid-iron in hand, you’ll find that the bottom of the flagstick is hidden by a large, intimidating bunker guarding the front of the green. Anything that comes up short will almost certainly find the sand.
In recent years, the green has been reduced in size, making accuracy even more important. The smaller target now sits tightly between two bunkers protecting both sides, placing a premium on a well-struck tee shot.
Taking an extra club and aiming for the back portion of the green can be a smart strategy, allowing you to avoid most of the trouble. But be warned—anything too long will catch the slope running behind the green, leaving you with a tricky chip back up onto the putting surface.
