Hole 4 is the first real opportunity to open up the shoulders and go after one. Keep your drive to the left side of the fairway and you’ll be in great shape.
With a dog-leg that bends gently right-to-left, a tee shot that turns over slightly is often ideal. As long as you steer clear of our old friend “Venus” from the previous hole, you should find yourself with a far more comfortable approach. Trees line the right rough, and any ball drifting into them may even force you to hit a provisional.
From the fairway, an open approach awaits, but trouble still lurks. Heavy rough and bushes protect the back-left of the green, while two bunkers sit ready to gather any pin-high shots that miss short or pin-high left. The safest play is to aim for the right side of the green and set up a stress-free putt.
