After the drama of the first two holes, you might welcome the prospect of an “easy” par 3 — but think again. This hole can easily play like a tough par 4 if your tee shot isn’t struck well.
At 232 yards from the back tees, Hole 3 demands both distance and accuracy. It shares a cluster of trees with the parallel 4th hole, locally known as The Venus Fly Trap — and for good reason. Any shot that drifts toward the exposed branches risks being swallowed up and spat out beneath them.
Three bunkers guard the large green: a sizeable trap on the left and two on the right — one at the front and one pin-high. Their positioning forces you to take dead aim at the heart of the green.
A miss to the left is generally more forgiving than a miss to the right, but be warned: even from the left, you may be faced with a delicate chip over the bunker toward a potentially short-sided pin.
