Championships!

🏆 2026 LANGLANDS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Club Championships. It’s been a fantastic week of golf, competition and plenty of drama!

🏆 SCRATCH CHAMPIONSHIP

Defending champion Jamie Barwood stepped onto the first tee on Tuesday looking to defend his title and played well enough to reach the final, where he faced one of the new boys to Langlands.

Langlands Golf Club welcomed Andy Moore to the club this year — and what a way to start!

After 18 holes, there was very little separating the two players, but Andy began to pull away after crossing the road at the 12th. Hands were eventually shaken on the 15th green, crowning Andy Moore the 2026 Scratch Champion! 🏆👏

A fantastic achievement in his first year at the club.

🏆 HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP

On the same day, Colin Muldoon and Dougie Borland teed up for their own 36-hole battle to decide the Handicap Championship.

It was another closely fought contest, with nothing being given away easily. The match went all the way to the 14th hole of the second round, where hands were finally shaken and Dougie Borland was crowned the 2026 Handicap Champion! 🏆👏

The shock of the week came in Round 1, when defending champion Peter Cleary was knocked out of the competition.

Congratulations to both our new champions and to everyone who competed throughout the championships.
