Hole 6 is the first — and shortest — of the two par 5s on the scorecard. For long hitters, this is the first hole where distance off the tee can become a serious advantage.
Trees line the right side of the hole, but the fairway is wide enough to allow some lateral movement. Heavy rough on the right separates this hole from the neighbouring 7th, and with pockets of bushes and larger trees, a slice off the tee may force a conservative lay-up rather than attempting the green on your second shot.
A prominent fairway bunker sits in the middle of the hole. If laying up, a shot just short of this bunker will leave you around 100–120 yards to the green — just be careful not to find the sand.
The large green is guarded on both sides by a single, but costly, bunker. A long and straight approach is key to posting a good score on this hole.
