As you head back to the clubhouse, the fairway opens up slightly, though trees still line both sides. The right side of the fairway opens at driver distance, offering a safer angle for longer hitters.
Shots left off the tee may be blocked by overhanging trees on your approach, while the hedgerow and trees on the right can similarly obstruct approaches that land near them. Playing conservatively with a shorter tee shot can set up an easier, albeit longer, second shot. This hole is all about risk and reward.
The green is guarded by bunkers on both sides, catching any short approach shots, while a steep drop-off at the back demands you take full advantage of the large putting surface.
