As opening holes go, this one ranks among the best. Many rounds have come undone here, and you may find yourself back in the clubhouse sooner than expected if you're not careful.

A safe tee shot is essential. A miss to the left brings heavy rough into play, with out of bounds further up. The right side is guarded by trees and more thick rough. Two right-hand fairway bunkers are perfectly positioned to catch any mid-range tee shot, making the left side of the fairway the smartest target.

If you navigate the demanding tee shot, you'll be left with a mid-iron into an open and inviting green. A right-hand greenside bunker protects the front, while a drop-off behind the green punishes anything long—so precise club selection is key.
